Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Notes

BEV = battery electric vehicle; PHEV = plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Subsidy values are representative and do not include scrappage bonuses or bonuses based on individual financial circumstances, and vehicle purchase cost is assumed to be less than the upper limit. Calculation is the representative PHEV subsidy as a share of representative BEV subsidy. PHEV subsidies in Korea did not change between 2020 and 2021, however, BEV subsidies slightly declined.
