Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

The figures reflect estimates of ongoing capital expenditures over time and do not include maintenance capex. The scope of investment includes steam crackers, propane dehydrogenation (PDH), coal-to-olefin (CTO) and methanol-to-olefin (MTO) units. “Other cracker” includes steam crackers using off-gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or gasoil.
